Home made traction
« on: February 11, 2009, 12:35:28 PM »
I got a big two day trail ride on this weekend, my tyres on the rear are badly rounded but I wasnt so worryed its the middle of summer and the ground is hard as. At the moment Im stuck with my factor rears as no one in New zealand has bothered to import any after market stuff yet !!!
BUT for the last 3 days it has raind hard core and there is still one more day of rain before the ride !!!! So in a mad panic I got out the angle grinder and a big metal cut off wheel,,, and spent two hours cutting new edges on the front edge of all my nobs,,,, CRAZY and messy work!!!! but I will tell you it works!!!
Ill try post a pic before I head off tomorrow!!
I expect this will be my last ride on these tyres as they will probably tear apart by the last day!!
With the new program I got in my dynojet the bike has really come Alive!!!!
