TRX400EX
« on: March 07, 2008, 06:45:44 PM »
I really want a 700 but I'm wondering if I should really start with such a monster. I'm thinking instead I should start with a TRX400EX.

What do you guys think? I'm not totally going for a machine to trump CRF450s but I'd like to have enough kick to shoot passed them and I have been told the 400 can still do it. Is this true?

I'm just thinking with moving and all in the near future I won't be able to afford to buy the 700 for another year and a half if I grab a 400 now.

Well there is no ATV on the market that will trump CRF450s, those bikes have more power than 450 quads and they are a lot lighter.

Now, I wouldn't buy the 400ex if you want the 700xx. The 700xx is twice the quad the 400ex is. And it isn't to much for anyone with a bit experience because it will be easier to ride than the 400ex, IRS, EFI, etc...

Definitely go for the 700xx, the 400ex, although a nice machine, is very outdated. The 700xx is state of the art design with new technology in everything it has.
