do i need a programmer?

i bought a fmf q4 and so far the stock air cleaner will i need a programmer or will it ajust its self like i was told? and if i replace the air filter will that affect it enough to need a programmer? i trail ride in tight woods mostly

 You do not need a programmer for just the slip-on. The use of a programmer is debatable with a high flow filter & slipon but I've seen no evidence to insist using one. If money permits do get one because the XX is a bit lean from the factory.

well smooth you were right, it ran great with a slip on fmfq4 with the screen in , and a uni filter and 13th sprocket. but i ordered a fmf programmer,to late to cancel , razer 2 , 22 front and razer for the rear . you see i tumbled off a big hill with the stock set up , and a uni and a pipe made a huge difference  but will the fmf programmer help with responce
