REPLY TO WHY WONT IT START
« on: March 18, 2010, 07:09:09 PM »
I cant read anything on that thread and dont know the symptoms, but if you dont have a strong enough starter I mean even a little bit weak it wont turn a 700cc engine over, I have only had mine a few days but I know alot about race engines  and I can already tell I want to find a high compression starter for it the stock one barley wants to start it and the thing is brand new

I havn't had any problems with mine not starting I can just tell that the High Compression of the motor is putting a strain on the stock starter, I have just had this problem with other racing engines I have owned.  But yeah I havnt had any probs out of mine either I was just replyn to the other thread because I couldn't read the poll

Folks the 700xx only runs about 10.5.1 compression ratio so I would be lookin else wear for your problem.

Yea but people stated they had problems turning over there 700xx because of high compresion what I stated was the XX does not have a high compresion piston, 10.5.1 is not high at all and the standard starter should turn it over no sweat sounds like battery problems to me or the starter is gone.

I'd say the starter is a bit unpowered also, I have a hard time starting mine when hot.
I do not fear what the future holds for me, I am not afraid to die.

It also has an automatic compression release when the starter is engaged.
