08 TRX700XX w/ FMF Powerbomb Pipe (Help Please!)

Hey folks, New to this site & to this quad. Just got it & it's only mod is the pipe. Runs great but has a 'dead" spot right after touching the throttle then the power comes on like a mad dog & upon letting of the throttle will backfire/pop a little. Closed off the airbox a bit & the "dead" spot is gone but now backfires/pops a lot when letting off the throttle. Please give me your suggestions to overcoming these problems.

it is running lean off idle. if there is a pipe on your quad, did they put a power commander or something like it to adjust the fuel??
but covering the air box it help to richen up the mixture which is good for accelerating but now its too rich slowing down.

need to get or adjust your fuel maps.
i have a FMF pipe and power commander on mine and have gone in to the fuel map and made adjustments. you will always get a little popping on decel

You need a power programer...FMF...YOUR RUNNING TO LEAN!.(NOT GOOD)..All fuel injected bikes.quads whatever.have a little hesitation if you hit them quick.from an idle.just my 2cents
